GGC's Maria Genovese wins ITA South regional women's tennis singles title


Maria Genovese, '21, English writing and rhetoric, is the Intercollegiate Tennis Association South Regional women’s singles champion after winning her final match at Brenau University in Georgia Tuesday, Sept. 24. Genovese clinched an automatic bid to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Oracle Cup/National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics individual championships Oct. 17-20 in Rome, Georgia.

The University System of Georgia (USG) selected GGC's Dr. Sonal Dekhane, professor of information technology and a past GGC Top Claw recipient, as an Executive Leadership Institute 2019-2020 Scholar. She is one of 34 participants who will endure a comprehensive 120-hour development program facilitated by leading experts in leadership. Scholars will enhance their leadership skills to prepare for potential high-level advancement within the USG.
