The teaching English speakers of other languages (TESOL) certification program provides additional career opportunities and an extended focus on internationalization for GGC graduates. By successfully completing a set of six courses, graduates will be able to effectively teach English as a second or foreign language to learners in foreign countries or in domestic intensive English program settings. Students will have a solid understanding of effective and meaningful approaches to teaching English that help learners increase their awareness of linguistic properties in oral and written communication.

  • Live and work in another culture after graduation.
  • Enhance your skills and increase your employment or graduate school admission possibilities by teaching English as a second or foreign language domestically or through extended abroad opportunities.
  • Work with adult immigrant communities in the U.S.

Note: This certification does not lead to a teacher certification in the K12 setting in the U.S.
