How has GGC helped prepare you for where you are today?
GGC helped me to turn my job into my passion by providing countless opportunities for experiential and service learning which became foundational to my career. I learned how to run a profitable international manufacturing business, began the practice of weekly volunteering with a state-wide nonprofit group, and created marketing materials that are still used so many years later. But more than this, I learned to be flexible, to communicate well, to be both persistent and patient, to balance confidence with humility, and to be a responsible servant-leader.
Favorite memory about GGC: I had the pleasure of being a member of GGC’s first studies abroad class in 2008. We met with staff at the United Nations and UPS in Belgium, Coca-Cola and the Comité Champagne in France, and the International Committee of the Red Cross in Switzerland among others. It was a transformative experience both personally and professionally – one which I would recommend to every student.
