Are you interested in becoming a big brother or big sister? Grizzlies Serve is partnering with Atlanta Big Brothers, Big Sisters to provide you the opportunity to serve as a mentor and form a life-changing relationship!
Big Brothers Big Sisters’ core program is Community-Based Mentoring where youth (Littles) are matched with mentors (Bigs) in one-to-one relationships and serves children age 8-14 across 12 metro counties. Each mentor is selected to serve their respective Little based on personality, life skills, and experiences and the entire match relationship is professionally monitored by the BBBS support staff.
To become a Big, we ask volunteers to attend an orientation and two trainings and complete an application and interview before being matched. Mentors meet with their mentee two to four times per month for a minimum 12-month commitment and will be provided a structured curriculum. (During Covid-19, the entire match process and visits with your Little will be conducted virtually via Zoom).
All Bigs must be is 21+ years old. Alumni, Faculty/Staff and Students are encouraged to attend our August 12 Orientation! (Future Orientations will also be available.)
The safe and brave space that we will create within Siblings will be an environment of support, growth, community and education.
