We respect diversity in all areas and continually strive to be culturally responsive to our students’ needs. We view diversity as encompassing the intersecting identities of ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, age and ability and recognize the impact of stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, oppression, power and privilege. Therefore, we are committed to creating an environment where all students feel respected, understood and appreciated. Counseling and Psychological Services staff strive to co-create an atmosphere where students can feel comfortable exploring their cultural identities and increase their own self-acceptance and confidence.
