1. Check Dates and Deadlines

All application materials must be submitted by the dates below for each semester.

Fall Semester – Extended to July 15
Spring Semester – Closed
Summer Semester – Closed

Application and document deadlines may be extended by the vice president of Enrollment Management Services in consultation with others, if conditions warrant. The Admissions office will communicate date changes to prospective students via the GGC website and other communications. Deadlines falling on the weekend will be the next business day.

2. Create Grizzly Profile to Apply Online

Create your Grizzly Profile to apply online, manage your progress and submit the required $30 application fee (Dual Enrollment exempted from application fee). Completing your profile also connects you to your admissions counselor, and offers a personalized application experience, helpful tips and reminders, status updates, and invitations to exclusive events. 3. Review Admission Requirements

Manage submissions and approvals by monitoring email and your online Grizzly Profile account.

    Dual Enrollment Admission

    Admission Requirements

    • Satisfy age requirement of 16 or older by the first day of the term of enrollment.
    • Be classified as a high school junior or senior by the first day of the term of enrollment.
    • Be on track for completing all high school graduation requirements
    • Meet the minimum GPA.
    • Complete the Required High School Curriculum (RHSC) course units on schedule.
    • Meet the minimum English test score requirement or math test score requirement
      • English score requirement 
        • 500 SAT evidence-based reading and writing; or
          • 21 ACT English or reading; or
          • 237 Next-Gen ACCUPLACER reading comprehension and 4 WritePlacer
      • Math score requirement
        • 510 SAT math; or
        • 20 ACT math; or
        • 266 Next-Gen ACCUPLACER quantitative reasoning algebra and statistics
    • Course Placement: See listing of eligible approved dual enrollment courses at Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) dual enrollment course directory. Course placement is as follows:
      • Students meeting the English score requirement but not the math score requirement may enroll in non-STEM courses only.
      • Student meeting the math score requirement but not the English score requirement may enroll in STEM courses only.
      • Students wishing to take college math must first successfully complete high school algebra II / advanced algebra or an equivalent course.
      • Additional test score(s) may be submitted after admission to the college for course placement purposes. Limit of two Next-Gen ACCUPLACER exam attempts allowed per academic year. 
    • Parent / guardian consent agreement and funding application via the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) dual enrollment funding application is required. Parent / guardian consent and approved funding is required for enrollment.

    Document Requirements

    • Submit official transcript from a regionally accredited high school.
      • Non-regionally accredited high school or home schooled students, please complete home school portfolio (Word read-only).
      • Special education diplomas or certificates are not accepted.
      • Submit official SAT, ACT or Next-Gen ACCUPLACER score report.
