Asad Khan

Asad Ahmad Khan, MSIT is a dedicated IT educator and higher education professional with over 14 years of experience in higher academia, college instruction, technical support and program coordination. 

Currently serving as a lecturer of information technology at Georgia Gwinnett College, his alma mater, he specializes in teaching digital media and cloud computing courses, drawing from his robust background in computer sciences and certifications.

Previously, he held multiple roles at Gwinnett Technical College, where he was the program director of the networking specialist program and dean liaison for the Computer Sciences Division for two and a half years, innovating curriculum in cloud computing arenas and managing a program with 20 part-time instructors, a full time instructor and multiple support staff, along with teaching and developing courses in computer networking, hardware maintenance, Amazon Web Services, data center management, Microsoft Azure and CompTIA industry certification preparation.

Prior to his leadership roles, he started at Gwinnett Technical College in 2012 as a tutor and gradually worked his way up through positions as a lab technician, educational aide and program support specialist, where he provided comprehensive support in academic advising, technical troubleshooting, marketing initiatives and faculty training.

His expertise encompasses a wide array of technologies, including Adobe Creative Cloud, C++, Java, HTML5, CSS, SQL, networking, systems analysis, database architecture, server administration, cybersecurity and digital forensics, AWS cloud, Microsoft Azure and Google cloud platform management.

He holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from Middle Georgia State University, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in systems and security from Georgia Gwinnett College, and an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Programming from Gwinnett Technical College. He will be pursuing his Doctor of Science in Information Technology next year. He currently possesses over 35 industry IT certifications in the realms of cloud computing, networking and cybersecurity.
