During Grizzlies Organization for Human Services (GOHS) Spread the Love series, GOHS will highlight an organization that serves in their community, including Celestial Motherhood and Baby Boutique (CMBB). CMBB provides educational support for new moms and moms with young children, offer babysitting services for parents date nights, and provides baby products.
GOHS and Grizzlies Serve as well as CMBB will be collaborating to host an event called Care and Connect, to provide resources and self care offerings to non-traditional students with young children and invite CMBB clients (parents and children).
Care and Connect will offer the following to attendees:
- Thrift pop up for parents to pickup free clothing for their children
- Self-care station for mothers
- Resource fair featuring community partners/community organizations
- Arts and crafts station for kids (kids will work on arts and crafts activity, which will be monitored by a GOHS member, so moms have time to "shop"-select clothing items for their kids at thrift pop up)
- Care kits provided to the moms
