Freshmen Admission (Never Attended College)

You are a high school senior or graduate or a GED holder, and you've never attended college.

Freshmen Admission (Home School)

You are a high school senior or graduate of a non-accredited homeschool program or high school. Regionally accredited home school applicants, please refer to freshman admissions (never attended college).

Freshmen Admission (Fewer than 30 Transferable College Credits)

You've attended college, Dual Enrollment included, but have fewer than 30 transferable credit hours.

Transfer Admission

You've earned more than 30 transferable college credit hours from another regionally accredited institution.

Re-admission to GGC

You have previously attended GGC as a degree-seeking student, but have not been enrolled for three semesters or longer.

You are enrolled in a degree program at another regionally accredited institution and expect to return to that institution. Transient students must re-apply for admission each semester.

Dual Enrollment Admission

You are a high school or home schooled student seeking to attend college during your junior or senior year of high school. Minimum age requirement is 16 years old by the first day of the semester of enrollment.

International Admission

You are an international student if you meet one of the following:

  • Currently live outside the U.S. and will require an F-1 visa to study in the U.S.
  • Not a U.S. citizen nor permanent resident and currently live in the U.S. on an F-1 visa
  • Currently live in the U.S. on another non-immigrant visa classification, which permits part-time or full-time study

Persons Aged 62 and Over

Persons 62 years of age and older may be admitted to GGC to take courses on a space-available basis at little to no cost.

For those considering Georgia Gwinnett College, please note that our institution adheres to requirements in support of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008. As a part of this Act, federal law requires institutions participating in federal student financial aid programs to publish annual reports that contain crime statistics and fire statistics for the most recent three years, policy statements regarding crime reporting, campus facility security and access, law enforcement authority, incidence of alcohol and drug abuse, and the prevention/response to sexual assault, dating violence and stalking. This information is available in Public Safety's Annual Fire and Safety Report. Georgia Gwinnett College will provide a paper copy of the report upon request.
