Biography

Dr. Andrew Stephenson was awarded his Ph.D. in economics from Georgia State University in 2011. His main areas of interest include public finance, household behavior, econometric analysis and international economics. His has had publications in The Public Budgeting and Finance Journal and The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. Prior to his doctoral studies, he served as economist at the Ministry of Finance and Planning in Jamaica, honing his skills of applying his academic training in a practical way.

Stephenson has a passion for teaching and seeks to inspire his students to overcome obstacles in order to fulfill their dreams. He believes in the GGC motto of using technology and active learning environments to prepare students who are able to contribute positively to our society.
