Protect Your GGC Account
College students are frequent targets of phishing scams, fake job offers, and identity theft schemes aimed at stealing financial aid refunds and personal information. Scammers may use official-looking emails, fake portals, and fraudulent checks to trick you.
Tips
- Only access financial aid through official sites such as studentaid.gov or GGC’s Grizzly Den.
- Verify financial aid or job offers directly with GGC departments.
- Never share your GGC account information or MFA codes.
Be cautious of job offers that promise high pay for minimal work or ask for personal information upfront. - Do not deposit suspicious checks or transfer money for others.
- Monitor your student account and bank activity regularly.
If you suspect a scam, contact the GGC Help Desk at helpdesk [at] ggc.edu or 678.407.5611.
Information Technology (IT) will never request your password or sensitive information via email, online form, text, or phone call.
