At the May 15, 2025, meeting, the Board of Regents approved a request from the board’s Committee on Academic Affairs for all institutions within the University System of Georgia (USG) to post curriculum vitae (CV) on their public websites. This action aims to ensure that all students have access to the critical information necessary for informed course selection and successful academic planning.
USG Academic Affairs has provided institutions with guidelines for posting curriculum vitae.
Guidelines
Effective in the spring semester 2026, a public CV for all faculty members involved in classroom instruction must be posted online. This public CV should include the following:
- All institutions attended and degrees or credentials earned
- Institutional directory information, such as office address, office phone number, institutional email and the faculty member’s institutional website, if applicable.
- Statement of teaching and research interests
- Recent publications or scholarly output
- Any additional institutional requirements
To support the implementation of publicly available curriculum vitae, Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) will leverage the Simple Syllabus platform. Information Technology (IT) and Academic Affairs (AA) have convened an ad-hoc task force to coordinate the technical implementation, configuration of the service and training and support for the service. AA will communicate next steps for faculty through deans and department chairs, Inside GGC and MyCourses announcements.
Questions regarding publicly available CV may be directed to provost [at] ggc.edu (provost[at]ggc[dot]edu).
