The University System of Georgia (USG) Syllabus Initiative requires that all fall 2026 courses have publicly available course syllabuses at the time fall 2026 registration opens. The requirement for summer 2026 is for Core IMPACTS and Education course information to be made public at least one week before classes begin.
Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) will open summer 2026 and fall 2026 registration March 16. The first day of classes for summer 2026 is May 26.
All summer 2026 and fall 2026 courses will be made available to faculty via MyCourses and Simple Syllabus no later than Feb. 24.
The deadlines for publishing syllabuses using Simple Syllabus follow:
- Fall 2026 syllabuses must be completed no later than March 6.
- Summer 2026 syllabuses must be completed no later than May 18.
Beginning with summer 2026, all syllabus components must be made publicly available. There will no longer be private components. The template in Simple Syllabus will be adjusted to show that all components are public. No additional action will be required of faculty to make components public.
Any changes or updates to course syllabuses must be reflected in Simple Syllabus.
