Advancement is currently holding the fall membership drive for the Four Pillar Society (FPS) and looking for student recommendations from Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) faculty and staff.

The Four Pillar Society, a student leadership program established by the Advancement office, provides an opportunity for outstanding, professional and motivated GGC students to serve as official hosts and goodwill ambassadors for the college. The Advancement team is currently taking applications through Sept. 30, 2025, and conducting interviews for the fall semester on a rolling basis.

Membership process

  • Students fill out an application, which is reviewed by the Alumni and Parent Engagement team.

  • The student is contacted and an interview is set up. During the interview, the student makes a 3-minute presentation about why they feel they would be a good FPS member and answers questions from the interview committee.

  • Students are contacted within a week of interviewing as to status.

Membership requirements

  • Must be classified as a full-time freshman or higher as of fall 2025

  • Must be able to commit to serving a one-year term

  • Must be in good disciplinary standing as defined in the GGC Student Code of Conduct (PDF)

  • Must be in good academic standing

  • Flexible schedule – some evenings/weekends

  • Exhibit strong public speaking and interpersonal skills

  • Exhibit an understanding of or a willingness to learn about all aspects of Georgia Gwinnett College

If faculty and staff would like to recommend a student or have questions, please email alumni [at] ggc.edu (alumni[at]ggc[dot]edu) and include the student’s name and email. Advancement will reach out to your recommended student(s) to let them know that a faculty or staff member has recommended them to apply to Four Pillar Society and will provide them with the application link.
