Have Questions?

We’ve got answers.

Grizzly Orientation (GO) is designed to make your transition to GGC smooth, exciting and stress-free. Whether you’re a new student or a supporting guest, this FAQ page covers a lot of need-to-know information.

Are you ready? Let’s GO!

All new students must register for Grizzly Orientation (in-person or virtual) before enrolling in courses, and must attend and complete orientation to keep their courses. Failure to complete may result in courses being dropped. The Grizzly Orientation hold is removed once your attendance/completion is confirmed.

You’ll register for your first semester during your scheduled Grizzly Orientation.

Summer Freshmen and Transfers

You will register for your first semester during your scheduled Grizzly Orientation.

Fall Freshmen (only)

The Student Success Advising Center will select your first semester classes prior to your scheduled Grizzly Orientation.

Fall Transfers (only)

You will register for your first semester at GGC after completing the online self-paced orientation modules.

For assistance with course selection, please reference your completion confirmation email for additional information. Please allow 48-72 business hours for your hold to be removed.

Dual Enrollment (any semester)

You will register for your first semester during your scheduled orientation.

Yes! No other holds will prevent you from attending orientation. However, we recommend reviewing instructions on how to resolve your immunization, final transcript and mentor hold to avoid delays in the future.

Verify your residency status through Grizzly Den within Banner. Learn more about tuition classification requirements and what to do if you placed as an out-of-state student, but do not believe you should be. Email questions to tuitionclassification [at] ggc.edu (tuitionclassification[at]ggc[dot]edu). See more details on Petitions for In-State Residency.

It’s not required but strongly recommended. GGC offers a separate, full guest experience at no extra cost to help your support system learn how to guide you through your college journey.
