Dr. Mohamed Iqbal Jamaloodeen
Professor of Mathematics, Chair of Faculty
As a teacher of mathematics, Dr. Jamaloodeen is committed to addressing student intellectual development as a whole by focusing on a broad range of issues, including problem-solving, modeling, reasoning, connecting with other disciplines, communicating, using technology and developing mathematical power. He also believes that modeling and relating to real-life all kinds of phenomenon are extremely useful in dispelling a common myth and one that leads to math phobia, and that is that math is irrelevant to my life.
