Biography

Dr. Rong Guo is an assistant professor of finance in the School of Business at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC). She has taught a variety of finance courses, including Financial Management I, Investments, Personal Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Bank Management, Problems in Corporate Finance, Managerial Finance, Introduction to International Finance, Security Analysis/Portfolio Management, Financial Institutions, Risk Management and Insurance. She received the Annual Faculty Teaching Award in 2016 for educational excellence in teaching from a state university she previously worked at. She has many research interests, including corporate diversification, corporate governance, small firms, zero-leverage firms, capital structure, industry characteristics, and pedagogical research. She has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals, and presented more than ten papers at leading national and international conferences. She also served as a reviewer for some journals and conferences.
