  • Call for ASB Faculty/Staff Advisors
  • Friday January 08, 2021
  • The Office of Student Involvement’s Community Engagement and Service area is looking for four faculty/staff advisors for Alternative Service Break (ASB). This trip, in collaboration with Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity for the “A Brush With Kindness” project, will take place March 13-16, 2021. 

    If interested, please email Nury Castro, assistant director of community engagement and service, at ncastro1@ggc.edu by Friday, January 29 with your full name, faculty/staff affiliation, and a general note about why you are interested in serving as an advisor.

  • Winter Items Donation Drive
  • Tuesday January 12, 2021
  • In partnership with Because One Matters, Grizzlies Serve will be collecting new or gently used winter coats, gloves, hats and scarves in youth sizes. There are three ways to donate items:

    • Drop off at the SISC suite, Building E, third floor between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
    • Contact us for on-campus pick-up by emailing volunteer@ggc.edu
    • Purchase items from the Amazon wishlist

  • Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service
  • Monday January 18, 2021
  • Join Grizzlies Serve, in collaboration with Gwinnett County, for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. On January 18, volunteers will help clean up the McDaniel Farm Park in Duluth. 

    Due to social distancing guidelines, the number of volunteers allowed is limited. Please register in advance.
