Georgia Gwinnett College president, Dr. Jann L. Joseph, is pictured with University System of Georgia Chancellor Sonny Perdue at the 2026 Annual Gwinnett American Values Dinner hosted by the Northeast Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Perdue served as the evening’s keynote speaker, offering remarks that praised Joseph’s leadership, perseverance and the “grit” that has defined her seven years of dedicated service to Georgia Gwinnett College.

Joseph was one of three honorees recognized with the Scott Hudgins Distinguished Citizen Award, alongside David Still, mayor of the City of Lawrenceville, and Jason Chandler, founder of Philanthropology 101. The award celebrates individuals who exemplify leadership, determination and service to the community.
