New Policy NoticeOn July 17, 2026, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published a final rule to replace duration of status (D/S) admissions with admissions for a fixed end date for F and J visa holders. The new rule and policies will go into effect 60 days from the published date, on September 15, 2026. International Student and Scholar Services is working with campus partners to develop guidance for the GGC community. International Student and Scholar Services welcomes students from all over the world, providing help with admissions, orientation, immigration advising, cross-cultural counseling, support services and programs that further intercultural awareness. ISS staff advises international students with F-1 or J-1 visas who are enrolled in undergraduate degree programs at Georgia Gwinnett College.
