Georgia Gwinnett College junior IT major Shone Cherian earned a competitive National Science Foundation internship with guidance from Dr. Cengiz Gunay, associate professor of information technology, and support from Career Services supervisors Dr. Roslyn Brown and Whitney Smith. He completed programs at Florida International University and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which led to a part-time job offer in cyberinfrastructure through May 2026.
