Each Tuesday, I use this message to highlight the people, progress and priorities shaping Georgia Gwinnett College. As we prepare to begin a new academic year, I cannot think of a better time to restart these weekly updates.

There is a special energy on campus this time of year. Classrooms are being prepared, offices are buzzing with activity and colleagues are returning with renewed enthusiasm for the work ahead. Soon, we will welcome a new class of Grizzlies, greet returning students and continue building a community where students, faculty and staff can discover their place, pursue their passion and fulfill their purpose.

The beginning of a new academic year is an opportunity to reaffirm why we are here and the difference we make in the lives of our students. Whether you teach in a classroom, advise students, maintain our campus, support technology or work behind the scenes, every role contributes to student success. Together, we create an environment where students feel welcomed, supported, challenged and inspired to achieve their goals.

To our new faculty and staff, welcome to Georgia Gwinnett College. You are joining a community defined by collaboration, belonging and a shared commitment to serving our students. We are delighted you are here and look forward to the talents, experiences and perspectives you will bring.

As the semester begins, I encourage each of us to strengthen the relationships that make GGC such a special place to work. A welcoming conversation, a willingness to collaborate or a simple act of kindness can have a lasting impact on our colleagues and our students.

We have much to celebrate. Our strong enrollment, the approval of GGC's first graduate degree program and expanded opportunities for our students reflect the momentum we have built together. These accomplishments provide a strong foundation as we continue advancing our mission and shaping bold futures.

Thank you for all you do to support our students and one another. I am excited for the year ahead and confident that, together, we will continue building a college where students succeed, colleagues thrive and excellence defines the GGC experience.

I look forward to seeing you on campus and wish you a successful and inspiring start to the
semester.

Warm regards,
Dr. Jann L. Joseph
President, Georgia Gwinnett College
