Fire Alarm in the E-Building Dining Hall. Officers responded with GCFD to the alarm. GCFD cleared the building and gave the all clear to re-enter the building.

Police and Fire units responded to a fire alarm; units cleared the building, no sign of fire or smoke.

A vehicle travelling northbound on Collins Hill Road was stopped at the intersection with University Center Lane. While stopped the vehicle ignited into flames. GCFD Station 31 was notified and responded to put out the fire. No injuries were reported.

Construction debris caught fire in the dumpster behind the Convocation Center. GCFD Station 31 responded and put the fire out. All clear announced.

Fire alarm was activated by a small child (juvenile) in the Student Center. Public Safety responded. The building was evacuated. Once the alarm was determined to be false, people were allowed back into the building and the alarm was reset.

Fire alarm activated in Buildings C and W. GCFD Station 31 responded to the scene with GGC patrol officers. After inspecting the building, GCFD reset the alarm and sounded the all clear.

Report of a car fire in the 1000 parking lot. Non-student pulled into the 1000 parking lot after detecting the smoke odor. After parking, he opened his engine compartment and it burst into flames. GCFD Station 31 responded to the scene and put out the fire. No injuries reported.

Officers responded to the 2000 dormitory for a fire alarm. The building was evacuated as GCFD Station 31 firefighters entered the building. They determined the origin of the alarm was an overloaded washing machine in the 1st floor laundry room. The alarm was cleared and notice was given to the residents to return to the building.

Report of a fire alarm in the B-building. Officers responded and determined that it was a false alarm. Facilities Management responded to reset the alarm.

Report of gas odor in the Student Center. Officers responded and evacuated the building. GCFD responded to investigate. GCFD cleared the building sounding all clear. Daily activity resumed.

Fire alarm activated in the 1000 dormitory. GCFD and campus police responded. The building was evacuated, until GCFD sounded all clear.

Fire Alarm in the Dining Hall. GCFD 31 responded to the scene. Evacuation of the building took place. FD investigated and declared all clear in the building.

Fire alarm activated in the 3000 Dormitory. Students were evacuated. The source of the activation came from an overloaded laundry dryer. The alarm was cleared. The students returned to their suites.

Fire alarm activated in the Dining Hall. There was a power outage in the building. It was determined that the ventilation hoods for the grill in the kitchen stopped working to vent smoke out of the building. Facilities management responded with portable fans to vent the air. Georgia Power was already on campus working to restore power. The building was evacuated until the all clear was given.

Fire alarm activated in the 2000 Dormitory due to the detection of smoke in the air. Upon investigation, it was determined that a tree had been struck by lightning in a neighborhood on the opposite side of Lonnie Harvel Blvd. The smoke came from that fire. GCFD Station 31 responded to the dormitory and the neighborhood fire. Fire alarm was also activated in the 3000 Dormitory. The pull stations in each dormitory were reset after the all clear had been given.
