2500156 Closed 04-26-2025 9:15 pm Other A vehicle travelling northbound on Collins Hill Road was stopped at the intersection with University Center Lane. While stopped the vehicle ignited into flames. GCFD Station 31 was notified and responded to put out the fire. No injuries were reported.
2500146 Closed 04-18-2025 6:38 am - Other Construction debris caught fire in the dumpster behind the Convocation Center. GCFD Station 31 responded and put the fire out. All clear announced.
2500058 Closed 02-17-2025 5:51 pm Building E, Student Center Fire alarm was activated by a small child (juvenile) in the Student Center. Public Safety responded. The building was evacuated. Once the alarm was determined to be false, people were allowed back into the building and the alarm was reset.
2500023 Closed 01-25-2025 5:06 pm Building C Fire alarm activated in Buildings C and W. GCFD Station 31 responded to the scene with GGC patrol officers. After inspecting the building, GCFD reset the alarm and sounded the all clear.
2400513 Closed 12-05-2024 8:07 pm Building 1000 parking lot Report of a car fire in the 1000 parking lot. Non-student pulled into the 1000 parking lot after detecting the smoke odor. After parking, he opened his engine compartment and it burst into flames. GCFD Station 31 responded to the scene and put out the fire. No injuries reported.
2400440 Closed 10-28-2024 5:14 pm Building 2000, Student Housing Officers responded to the 2000 dormitory for a fire alarm. The building was evacuated as GCFD Station 31 firefighters entered the building. They determined the origin of the alarm was an overloaded washing machine in the 1st floor laundry room. The alarm was cleared and notice was given to the residents to return to the building.
2400418 Closed 10-20-2024 9:27 am Building B Report of a fire alarm in the B-building. Officers responded and determined that it was a false alarm. Facilities Management responded to reset the alarm.
2400410 Closed 10-17-2024 11:22 am Building E, Student Center Report of gas odor in the Student Center. Officers responded and evacuated the building. GCFD responded to investigate. GCFD cleared the building sounding all clear. Daily activity resumed.
2400377 Closed 10-06-2024 10:01 pm Building 1000, Student Housing Fire alarm activated in the 1000 dormitory. GCFD and campus police responded. The building was evacuated, until GCFD sounded all clear.
2400345 Closed 09-23-2024 10:47 am Building E, Student Center Fire Alarm in the Dining Hall. GCFD 31 responded to the scene. Evacuation of the building took place. FD investigated and declared all clear in the building.
