Cybersecurity Certificate

Students who earn a cybersecurity certificate not only advance their information security skills, but also develop essential expertise in the concepts, technical aspects and information security principles necessary to increase job prospects and add to their professional portfolio.

The cybersecurity certificate coursework is designed for both GGC students (other than systems and cybersecurity majors) and professional candidates seeking to advance their skills in the field of information security. The coursework also helps prepare students for industry certification opportunities such as the Certiport Information Technology Specialist in Networking, Certiport Information Technology Specialist in Cybersecurity, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.

Required prerequisites can be waived based on relevant IT work experience, certifications and previous coursework. Each candidate will be reviewed by the program coordinator. Contact cybersecurity [at] ggc.edu (cybersecurity[at]ggc[dot]edu) with questions or to learn more.
