Biography
Alan Boyer returns to GGC after teaching from 2016-2023, bringing over 20 years of Fortune 500 executive experience and 20 years of higher education innovation. He has held senior leadership roles at AT&T, Coca-Cola, Equifax and First Data, and led global brand and digital initiatives across international markets. Most recently, he served as founding director of Digital Innovation at Kansas State University, where he launched a new degree program and multiple certificates. He is managing partner of iThrive Learning Architects LLC and researches how professionals adapt to AI-augmented work through human capabilities he calls the “7 Communication Superpowers.” In his teaching, he focuses on helping students build clarity, confidence and professional capability for their own career paths.
Boyer's academic interests center on designing employer-driven curriculum that moves human capability above the power skills ceiling to better prepare students for leadership and impact in complex, AI-driven organizational contexts.
