About
Biography
Kate Balsley is a video artist, animator and screenwriter. Her work has been featured in venues such as LA Filmforum, the Anthology Film Archives, the Museum of the Moving Image and the ICA Boston. Among her awards include Best Experimental from the Athens International Film and Video Festival and a Jury's Choice Award from the Thomas Edison Film Festival. Balsley also shows her work locally and has been featured in the Atlanta Film Festival and Indie Memphis.
She teaches video production, animation, screenwriting and film studies. Aside from teaching and mentoring, she also helps students find internships throughout the metro Atlanta area.
