Biography
Marcia Ford is the director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at Georgia Gwinnett College. She earned her bachelor’s degree in environmental science with an emphasis on environmental chemistry and maintains a professional certification as an industrial hygienist.
Ford brings extensive experience in helping colleges and universities create safe, healthy learning environments. At GGC, she ensures that safety standards are followed and that students, faculty, staff and visitors can learn, work and thrive in a secure setting.
Her work covers many areas, including lab safety, general industry safety, hazardous waste, fire safety, indoor air quality, emergency preparedness, planning, response and recovery. Beyond campus safety programs, Ford leads training to help students and employees understand how to stay safe in classrooms, labs and across campus.
Ford enjoys working with the GGC community to build a strong culture of safety, trust and preparedness – so that every Grizzly feels supported and ready to succeed.
