Michael Poll graduated from Menlo College (California) where he earned a B.S. in business management. He received an M.A. in educational administration from San Jose State University and a doctorate of education in curriculum and leadership from Columbus State University. Poll started his professional career as an admission counselor and basketball coach at Menlo College. 

In 30 years of higher education and 18 years in senior leadership, Poll has overseen the offices of undergraduate admissions, graduate admissions, financial aid, institutional research, strategic planning, scholarships, registrar, marketing, international student services, veterans success, student accounts, orientation, testing services and other departments.

He specializes in data-driven decision making, student success, strategic enrollment planning, financial aid leveraging, internationalization, collaborative management and a balanced approach to success and life.

Poll enjoys golf, biking, reading and most of all spending time with his wife Dana. He has three daughters: Whitney Poll (Charleston, SC), Callie Poll (San Francisco, CA) and Maddie Poll (Charleston, SC).
