Apply To Graduate

All Graduates
Eligibility
All students must apply to graduate for the semester in which they will take their last course(s) toward their graduation requirements using the graduation application in Grizzly Den within Banner. Once their application has been reviewed, it will determine in which commencement ceremony they will be allowed to participate. Students who are eligible to participate in one commencement ceremony are not eligible to participate in any future ceremonies.
Students who applied prior to the graduation deadline will have their names added in the commencement ceremony and program. Once a student’s name is added to a commencement ceremony and program, their name will not be added in any future ceremonies and program.
We kindly ask students to keep our office informed of any updates to their graduation status.
For general information regarding graduation requirements, please consult the GGC catalog. Students are encouraged to regularly review their academic progress in Degree Works and consult with their mentor and respective school to ensure they are on track to fulfill all degree requirements by the end of their intended graduation semester.
Academic Honors Recognition
Degree candidates earning academic honors (i.e., cum laude, magna cum laude, summa cum laude) will be recognized during the ceremony. Degree candidates who meet the following GPA criteria will be noted in the commencement program and ceremony. For the purposes of the commencement program, academic honors recognition is based on a student’s overall undergraduate GPA going into their last semester. Final honors will be determined following the conclusion of the student’s last semester. Final honors will be notated on the student’s final academic record. Please Note: Overall GPA’s are not rounded.
Honors Distinction and GPA Requirement
Cum Laude: 3.50 – 3.74
Magna Cum Laude: 3.75 – 3.874
