Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is proud to host the 2026 annual meeting of the Georgia Academy of Science March 27-28, 2026. In addition to holding conferences that spotlight presentations by undergraduate and graduate student researchers, the Academy promotes science education and research throughout Georgia and publishes the Georgia Journal of Science.

The institutions Planning Committee encourages GGC faculty and students to submit abstracts toward presentation at this annual meeting. The deadline for abstract submissions is Dec. 8. While faculty may present their work, priority is given to student presenters, who may also receive awards for their accomplishments.

All presenters should convert their presentations to manuscripts for potential publication to the Georgia Journal of Science. This is an exciting opportunity for both students and faculty to establish or enhance their publication record and promote the scientific accomplishments of the GGC community.

For information on how to submit an abstract, contact the Planning Committee communications team, phuey [at] ggc.edu (Dr. Pat Uelmen Huey), assistant professor of biology, and idelarosa [at] ggc.edu (Dr. Indhira de la Rosa), assistant professor of biology. Please also visit the Academy of Science website for more information on membership and meeting registration.
