Commencement is more than a ceremony. It is the moment when stories of determination, resilience and achievement are celebrated. As Georgia Gwinnett College’s (GGC) fall commencement draws near, the Outstanding Student Speaker Committee is searching for students whose voices can represent the fall Class of 2025 and asking faculty and staff for student speaker nominations.
“Now that we have two commencement ceremonies, it’s especially important to have nominations from all five schools,” said Dr. Gerald Agbegha, associate professor and co-chair of the committee.
The deadline to submit nominations (PDF) is Friday, Oct. 10.
“I’m confident that we have many students whose stories would inspire their classmates, family, friends and the entire GGC community,” Agbegha said.
GGC’s fall commencement ceremonies are Friday, Dec. 12.
