To celebrate National Preparedness Month, Georgia Gwinnet College (GGC) will host the Fall Safety and Preparedness Fair, an interactive, family-friendly event designed to help our community learn, connect and prepare for emergencies, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, throughout the main campus.
This year’s fair will feature over 20 agencies and organizations dedicated to public safety, emergency preparedness and community well-being. Faculty, staff and students can explore exhibits, meet local heroes and participate in hands-on demonstrations.
Highlights include:
Federal and state partners: Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, and Georgia State Defense Force
Local heroes: Police, fire and emergency services who will showcase equipment and readiness efforts
Live demo: Experience the dramatic Jaws of Life demonstration from our fire rescue team
Community partners: MOSAIC, Partners Against Domestic Violence, and other organizations offering resources on safety, advocacy and preparedness
Interactive booths: Learn about fire safety, disaster response, personal security and more.
This is a great opportunity for the GGC community to ask questions, collect resources and strengthen preparedness while engaging with those who work every day to keep our community safe.
