Welcome to Georgia Gwinnett College’s digital home! Communications, in collaboration with Information Technology, has redesigned our website with you in mind making it more intuitive, informative and inspiring. Below is everything you need to know:

What changed?

We have made a number of thoughtful updates to improve how you experience the site:

Navigation

  • The Explore drop-down menu has been removed for a cleaner, more streamlined experience.
  • The site structure has been simplified to help you find content faster.

Visual design

  • A refreshed color palette and modern layout bring the site to life.
  • Enhanced photography, data highlights and an events/news feed on the homepage help tell our story more visually.
  • Content now follows a clearer hierarchy, making pages easier to scan and digest.

Degrees and programs

You can now search by major, minor, nexus, or certificate, making it easier to explore academic pathways.

News and Inside GGC pages

These sections now have a magazine-style layout for a more engaging read.

Social media integration

Seamless integration makes it easier to explore what’s happening across our platforms. Check it out at the bottom of the homepage.

Directory

To ensure privacy, our directory has changed to name search only. However, website visitors will be able to easily find faculty and staff for each major/department by clicking “Meet (insert department) staff” on specific pages. For example, when you click on the “Meet Communications Staff” link on the Communications landing page, you will be taken to a directory page with a compilation of all Communications staff.

How can I make changes to my directory profile?

To update your directory profile, place a Communications Request for a Directory Profile Update.

Why is my directory profile photo blurry?

Directory profile photos on the previous website were smaller and at a lower resolution. Our new design allows for a larger photo. Watch Inside GGC for upcoming Directory Photo Day announcements.

How can I make changes to a webpage?

First, are you the content manager responsible for the page? If your answer is yes, submit your Web Content ticket on the Communications Request webpage and someone on our team will review and follow up. If your answer is no, please work with the content manager responsible for the page to get content updated.

How do I submit a calendar request?

Calendar submissions are handled through our partnership with Operations via 25Live. When you request a space, you can also give permission for the event to appear on the events calendar. However, if you forget or choose not to answer the question: “Do you want to advertise your event on a GGC calendar?” your event will not be advertised. Please note that this question appears in the “Additional Questions” section, which does not appear until after you choose a location.

Important tip: If you “own” the space and don’t need to reserve it, such as an office, you can add your event to the calendar by submitting an “Event/Announcement without Location” request, also found on the Communications Request webpage.

Did any content change? Was any content removed?

No. If your content existed on the old site, it exists on the new site. The vendor migrated all content from one site to the other.

I don't see "x" in the header navigation. How do I find it?

The public website has thousands of pages, which can't all be linked under the header navigation menus. If what you're looking for isn't in those menus, you can use the search bar in the top right-hand corner to search by keyword. The page you are searching for will come up in the results.

What’s next?

Here are a few things you can do now:

  • When time permits, peruse the site. We want you to check out our new features!
  • Update your bookmarks some URLs have changed.
  • Clear your browser cache for the best experience.
  • Stay tuned as we roll out even more updates, as well as a feedback survey later in the fall.

Things to keep in mind

Even though we have launched, this project will continue through the end of the year. There are a number of pages that did not exist on our old website, which means some content still needs to be written and some photos still need to be replaced. Those changes will be made over time. However, if you happen to come across a broken link, please let us know by emailing dc [at] ggc.edu (dc[at]ggc[dot]edu) with the following:

  • The page on which you found the link and the section in which the link was located.
