It is that time of year to nominate students for Georgia Gwinnett College’s (GGC) Annual Student Awards. If you know students who deserve recognition for their excellence, please submit your nomination by Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, at 5 p.m. Award winners will be recognized at the Student Awards Ceremony in April 2026.

To nominate a student, complete one of the online forms by clicking the appropriate link in either of the two tables below. The first table includes the Outstanding Student Awards for each school and the Outstanding Freshman Award. The second table lists the Outstanding Student Awards for leadership, service and creativity and the Outstanding Student Employee Award.

When you submit a letter on behalf of the student, save it as a Word or PDF document and then upload it to the portal. Please reserve the comment section for short, concise comments.

The eligibility rules for the five Outstanding Student Awards for each school include the following:

  • Students must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA at GGC.

  • Students must have completed 75 credit hours.

  • All student nominees must be in good academic and student conduct standing.

For the Outstanding Freshman Award nominees, grades will be checked at the end of the first semester.

The nominees for the Outstanding Student Award - Student Success must have achieved outstanding performance in one or more of their student success course(s) and have demonstrated significant strides in personal growth.

Faculty, staff and students may nominate students for the awards listed in Table 2 below. The eligibility rules for the four awards include:

  • Students have a 2.5 or greater GPA.

  • Students were enrolled at GGC when they completed their activities for the award for which they were nominated.

  • Students must be in good academic and student conduct standing.

  • The nominated student may not receive the same award (from Table 2 below) in two consecutive years.

  • **The nominator must provide a letter of support for the Outstanding Student Employee Award nominee.
