Blue and white Benefits blocks spelled out

Join the Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) Benefits team for “Tailgating Your Benefits,” a special day dedicated to making smart, informed choices about your benefits, health and financial future. It is the most valuable time you will spend all year preparing for Open Enrollment. The event is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, in the Student Center, LVIS.

The team will celebrate our campus spirit and the inaugural GGC basketball season, with the first game tipping off the very same day! Join the fun by wearing your favorite basketball jersey or GGC apparel.

Included at the event will be University System of Georgia (USG) benefit vendors, snacks and games. In addition to meeting with all our vendors, there will be valuable, free health screenings.

Registration is required for all services listed below:

Individual financial consultations: CAPTRUST Financial Advisors, the independent financial advisory firm that works on the USG Retirement Programs, will be onsite conducting individual meetings. There are only eight sessions available, so enroll soon.

Biometric screenings: LabCorp will be on campus offering free, confidential screenings. Find out your numbers for key health indicators like cholesterol, blood pressure and much more. It is a great way to start managing your health. Register to secure your spot. You must register by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21. The visitor access code, USG, is case sensitive.

Flu shots: CVS will be providing flu shots for your convenience. If you are interested, swall2 [at] ggc.edu (email Sabrina Wall), Human Resources specialist, Benefits.

Carotid artery screening: Northside Hospital will provide this screening free of charge. Pleaseswall2 [at] ggc.edu ( email Sabrina Wall) if you are interested.

It is going to be a “Slam Dunk” of a fair. See you there.
