Will teleworking be allowed during the fall schedule—PLEASE READ.
Effective July 31, 2026, all current telework schedules will expire. Going forward effective August 17, 2026, new telework agreements must be executed for eligible employees. These agreements will cover only one semester and must be renewed prior to the beginning of the following semester. That means for the upcoming Fall Core Hours 2026 (Aug. 17 – Dec. 31) new agreements must be finalized prior to August 12, 2026.
Renewals going forward must be completed prior to the beginning of the next semester based on the following schedule:
- Spring 2027 Schedule: Jan. 1 – May 14
- Summer 2027 Schedule: May 17 – July 30
Eligible employees may telework no more than one day per week. No telework will be permitted on Tuesdays.
For meetings conducted via Teams, cameras must be on unless a one-time exception has been given for an employee.
Telework may be suspended during peak student engagement periods or for high-demand activities.
Managers must ensure that enough employees are present each day during core hours to maintain adequate in-person support for students and campus operations.
Reminder to Managers: Work with your employees to make any changes to fall telework schedules. All employee telework days must be documented on a telework spreadsheet. HR will distribute the template to managers with the updated telework agreement form via email. Employee telework agreements will not be considered approved until the completed telework spreadsheets have been received by HR. Spreadsheets for Fall Core Hours 2026 are due August 12, 2026.
