A strong cold front will move through Georgia Sunday, ushering in the first widespread freezing temperatures of the season. This event should bring an end to the growing season for all of north and central Georgia. Cold temperatures will threaten unprotected or non-winterized plumbing.
What
- Widespread freezing temperatures (20 to 30 degrees) are favored Monday night and Tuesday morning.
- Areas along and north of I-85 may see freezing temperatures as early as Monday morning.
- A few snow flurries/snow showers are possible overnight Sunday into Monday in the higher elevations of far north GA. At this time, no major/widespread impacts are expected.
