Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is pleased to announce Danielle “Dani” Eafford as the new director of TRIO Student Support Services, effective May 1, 2026. She will report to Dr. Justin Jernigan, interim associate provost for academic programs.
In the director role, Eafford will establish, implement and manage the newly created TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program, which identifies and supports eligible students in reaching their potential while preparing them for professional and personal success through the completion of their postsecondary education.
Eafford comes to GGC from Georgia State University, where she served as a first-year seminar course instructor and director of the State Farm Scholars and Perimeter Academy, a first-year and transition student support program. She earned a master’s degree in American culture studies from Bowling Green State University and is currently pursuing a doctorate of education in organizational leadership at Valdosta State University.
A special note of thanks to Dr. Jerome Lee, director of Academic Enhancement and Search Committee chair, and the committee members for their diligent work.
