After months of construction, Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) has opened the newly renovated fitness area on the third floor of the Convocation Center, now operating with extended hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday for faculty, staff and students.

This summer, four newly certified student personal trainers will begin working with members in an official capacity, a first for the Wellness and Recreation Center (WRC). Guided by certified professionals, these student trainers will create personalized workout plans and one-on-one support to help members meet their fitness goals.

The Convocation Center features state-of-the-art cardio and machine weights, a new equipment casting system that allows streaming workouts via phone-to-TV connection and wireless charging stations.
GGC’s full- and part-time faculty and staff can take advantage of free, year-round access to on-campus fitness facilities.

Immediate family members are also eligible to join the fitness centers. If interested, contact Kyle Ball, Payroll and Benefits analyst, for information about joining.

By fall, the WRC will launch a complete wellness and recreation program to serve the entire GGC community. The GGC Convocation Center is located at the north end of campus between Building B and the Allied Health and Sciences building. View map (PDF).
