Dr. Dovile Budryte, professor of political science, presented at the international conference, Intersections of Oppression: Comparative Historical Analysis of Contemporary Challenges, organized by South Africa's University of Pretoria and the embassies of Lithuania and the Czech Republic in South Africa. Topics discussed included a comparison of various forms of oppression and their legacies as well as Russian aggression against Ukraine as a form of colonialism.
