Georgia Gwinnett College professor dives into real reasons why people fail resolutions

Keeping up with those New Year’s resolutions? Chances are that you’re not—and you’re not alone.

A 2021 survey suggests that fewer and fewer people are making the changes they set out to do at the start of the year. Only 35% of the participants reported completing all of their goals. 

David Ludden, Ph.D., professor of psychology at Georgia Gwinnett College says the failure of best laid plans often has to do with diverging forces in one’s brain.

Georgia Gwinnett College to begin spring semester with continued COVID safety measures, vaccine clinic

Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) will begin its spring semester with in-person instruction on Tuesday, Jan. 18. For those interested in receiving COVID-19 vaccines, GGC will continue to work with the Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE) to host COVID-19 vaccine clinics on campus between January and May. Complimentary vaccinations and boosters will be administered to faculty, staff, students and the community in the Student Center third-floor lounge from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday.
