Course reserve refers to materials assigned by your course instructor that are held at the service desk located on the first floor of Kaufman Library. These materials can be borrowed for an assigned time period using your Claw Card or a government issued photo ID.
Students may check out up to 15 GGC items at a time. You must have your Claw Card or a valid, government-issued photo ID to check out items. Loan periods are as follows:
- GGC Books: 28 days, 2 renewals
- GGC Popular Fiction/Nonfiction Collection: 14 days, 1 renewal
- GGC DVDs: 5 days, 1 renewal
- GIL Express Books: 28 days, 2 renewals
Print material not available in the GGC collection may be requested from libraries at other USG institutions. Use the GIL-Find Library Catalog – USG to search for items and login to your library account to enable requests. Please note: articles cannot be requested through GIL Express – see Interlibrary Loan.
Materials not available at the Kaufman Library or through GIL Express may be requested through Interlibrary Loan. Please ensure an item is not available at GGC or within the USG system before submitting a request.
Research help is available at the first floor desk. You may also contact a Reference Librarian at 678.407.5064 or through Ask a Librarian.
Please also consult the research guides for help.
Students must use Cave Cash loaded on their Claw Card to print or photocopy in library areas. Printing costs 10 cents per page for black and white and 25 cents per page for color. Photocopies cost 10 cents per page (black and white only).
Students also have the option to scan items and send to their email for free. Scanning directions are provided at each photocopier.
Students with disabilities, please visit Disability Services.
Kaufman Library partners with the Academic Enhancement Center to provide scheduled hours for tutoring in the Library; Librarians hold regular hours in the AEC.
