Welcome Parents, Families and Supporters

Grizzly Orientation (GO) is Georgia Gwinnett College’s official program to welcome new students and their families. Together, you’ll learn about campus resources, academic expectations, and ways to support your Grizzly’s transition to college life. While guests are not required, we strongly encourage families to attend alongside their students.

What Parents and Families Can Expect at Orientation

Attend Sessions Specific to Parents and Families

Students and families will attend some sessions together but also have separate tracks. While students build connections with peers, you’ll hear presentations designed to equip you with tools to support your Grizzly and connect with other families.

Participate in Conversations

Orientation includes presentations, panels and small group discussions led by campus experts. We encourage you to ask questions and share with other families.

View Campus From a Student's Perspective

You’ll move across campus between sessions, giving you a real sense of your student’s daily environment. Optional guided tours are available at the end of orientation, or you can schedule your own for another day.
