A smarter, more connected future for University System of Georgia systems

On April 16, the University System of Georgia (USG) officially launched its new Unified Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program during a virtual town hall. This marks an exciting step forward in how we support the everyday work of employees and managers across the USG.

What is an ERP?

An ERP system is the technology that powers many of the business, financial and human resources (HR) processes we rely on daily. Today, we use systems such as OneUSG Connect and GeorgiaFIRST to complete these tasks. The Unified ERP Program brings these functions together into a more consistent, streamlined and user-friendly experience.

What will the new system support?

The Unified ERP will help employees and managers efficiently complete tasks such as:

  • Submitting timesheets and entering time
  • Requesting and approving leave
  • Managing travel and expense reimbursements
  • Supporting recruitment and hiring
  • Processing HR transactions
  • Handling financial and business operations
  • Completing staff performance evaluations

Why this matters

Whether you use these systems every day or primarily for self-service tasks like leave requests or expense reports, the Unified ERP Program is designed to simplify processes, reduce complexity and create a more connected, future-ready administrative experience across USG.
