Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
Eligibility
CAPS services are free and available to currently enrolled GGC students. Please note that per Georgia Law, students under the age of 18 will need parent/guardian consent to receive counseling services.
How to Make an Appointment
Simply stop by the CAPS office, call 678.407.5592 or email counseling [at] ggc.edu (counseling[at]ggc[dot]edu) to schedule a virtual or in-person appointment. Same-day initial consultation appointments are limited and scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Download Microsoft Teams on a device that has a video camera and microphone.
- Access Microsoft Teams using your student ID and password.
- Check your GGC Claw Mail for a Microsoft Teams meeting invitation on the morning of your appointment, and confirm the appointment.
- Prior to your appointment, complete and submit the CAPS online client forms included in your meeting invitation.
- Find the MS Teams invitation link again by logging in and viewing your calendar.
In-person consultations are held in the CAPS office. Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your appointment to complete client forms. You will meet with a counselor for approximately 30 minutes and discuss what will be most helpful for you.
