Grizzly Image Use Guide
Grizzly Bear Image Usage
Forward-facing bear head
The bear head image is trademarked and owned by GGC Athletics, but available for non-athletic departments to communicate GGC pride and college spirit. It may appear in marketing, promotional and spirit-related materials.
The bear head is not to be used in any way that may adversely impact the college's image or reputation. It is not permitted on, or associated with, unofficial social media accounts, political parties and organizations, firearms, or depicted on any alcoholic beverages, tobacco, drug or sex-oriented paraphernalia. Never rotate the bear head. The silhouette of the bear head may not be used. Do not add or remove any element of the logo. Color and clear-zone restrictions must be used. The bear head cannot appear in the same area as another official GGC logo. Review the Athletics Identity Standards Guide for more details on those restrictions.
General, GGC's Grizzly Mascot
Official images of General, including photos and cartoon illustrations, are available for use in non-academic materials (see definition below) to promote school spirit. These images must be sourced from the official GGC downloadable gallery. While these images may enhance designs, they cannot be used in place of any official GGC logo. Other bear images or graphics not provided by GGC are not permitted.
Any official use of General or other GGC Grizzly imagery or terminology that is designed to be sold or distributed must have approval through GGC's licensing program before production.
Paw and Claw Image Usage
G-Claw
The G-Claw, owned and managed by GGC Athletics, remains the only claw graphic authorized for use at GGC. No other claws, scratch graphics or variations are permitted. Approval requests for use of the G-Claw must be submitted to GGC Athletics before production or publication.

General's Paw
A new element called “General’s Paw” is now available for use as a decorative paw graphic. Use the paw to add visual interest to a communication piece, as a background element or as a highlighter or separator of information. Never edit any element of the paw. General’s Paw may not be used as a logo, watermark, primary brand identifier or stand-alone mark representing GGC or any department. All paw images must be sourced from the official GGC downloadable gallery. Other paw and claw images or graphics not provided by GGC are not permitted.
