An officer on patrol encountered a student changing his vehicle oil on the 5th level of the parking deck. this student had purposely dumped his vehicle's oil on the 5th level in one of the parking spaces. The officer issued a citation for the offense. Then provided instructions for cleaning up the hazardous material. Facilities Maintenance was also notified.

During a health and welfare inspection in the 1000 Dormitory, several safety violations were observed by housing staff.
