Dr. Chavonda Mills, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs / Provost

Welcome to Georgia Gwinnett College, a community where innovation, belonging and student success are at the heart of everything we do.

As provost and senior vice president for Academic Affairs, I serve as GGC’s chief academic officer, entrusted with advancing our academic mission and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive.

The provost's office oversees all academic schools, departments and programs, as well as the dedicated units that support teaching, learning and student engagement. We are also responsible for implementing academic policies, supporting faculty development, and ensuring that our programs meet the highest standards of quality and relevance. In partnership with the president, the University System of Georgia, and stakeholders across campus and beyond, we work to shape the future of GGC and the broader community we serve.

Whether you are beginning your journey at GGC or continuing to build on our legacy of excellence, know that you are part of a vibrant, supportive and forward-thinking institution.

Together, we are committed to fostering an environment where intellectual curiosity is celebrated, academic excellence is expected, and every member of our community is empowered to find their place, pursue their passion and fulfill their purpose.
