Annual Awards
The GGC annual awards, presented at the Fall Recognition ceremony, mirror the four core values of Georgia Gwinnett College. These four values emphasize and encapsulate our vision and mission: Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Creativity. These values inspire and guide our actions, and they are the hallmarks of GGC.
Staff Awards
The College recognizes the extraordinary staff at GGC. Without each and every one of our staff members, the campus would not be the welcoming home that it is. In recognition of the many contributions made by staff across campus, the Annual Awards Committee selects recipients of the Outstanding Staff Awards. These award recipients are outstanding members of our campus community who truly embody the vision of GGC.

Faculty Awards
Our faculty award recipients exemplify excellence. Specifically, each of our award recipients demonstrates excellence in teaching, in service, in scholarship and creative activities, and in student engagement. Each faculty award recipient at GGC actively serves our campus and community.
The recipient of this award demonstrates excellence in helping students to become proficient in the subject matter of the discipline. Enabling students to become adept in an academic area prepares them to go on to achieve their goals, both professional and personal, which they set for themselves. The knowledge, skills and understanding that students develop allow them to fulfill their maximum potential and make positive contributions to their own lives as well as their communities and societies.
These award recipients stand as shining examples of the impact that service can have, and they exhibit a level of commitment to service which we should all strive to attain, through service such as participation in committees, leadership roles and development of GGC programming.
These award recipients demonstrate complex research skills, editorial skills and an exceptional attitude, supporting scholarship and creative activity efforts of the College.
Student Engagement is an integral part of life as Georgia Gwinnett College professor. These award recipients excel at creating hands-on activities and opportunities for our students and engaging our student body.
In addition to our full time faculty award recipients, GGC also has exceptional part-time faculty members. These award recipients actively serve our campus and community.
Student Awards
Award recipients are chosen based upon nomination by a faculty member and their GPA. However, these students are not only outstanding in the classroom, but also across campus, serving as campus leaders and stellar examples of well-rounded students.
GGC would not be the place it is today without its student leaders. This award recognizes the commitment of our students to leadership and their wide-ranging impact across our campus.
In recognition of GGC’s commitment to service at all levels, the Annual Awards Committee recognizes one student each year that has shown an extraordinary level of service, while a student at GGC.
This award acknowledges GGC students who are actively engaged in scholarly and creative activities on a daily basis – both through assignments for their classes and, more importantly, through extracurricular creative activities.
These award recipients are chosen based upon nomination by a faculty member and their GPA. However, these students are not only outstanding in the classroom but also across campus, serving as campus leaders and stellar examples of well-rounded students.

Each year, an Outstanding Freshman award recipient is selected based on nomination by a faculty member and their GPA. This award recipient demonstrates and exemplifies the potential for success at GGC, both inside and outside of the classroom.
